College Applications

Seniors should apply to colleges or technical schools in the fall of their senior year.

  • Check the college website for their online application.
  • Print the counselor page and bring it to your counselor if there is one.
  • Request that your transcript be sent to each college to which you apply. Go to www.parchment.com
  • For those interested in University of Michigan or Michigan State University, we recommend applying in September.
  • University of Michigan and Hope College applications must be completed at www.commonapp.org.
  • Selective college applications require much work and often request recommendations. Begin early to complete these applications. If you need an application fee waiver, see your counselor for assistance.
  • If the application requires a recommendation from your counselor or a teacher, allow one week for this to be completed. Please complete the “Senior Interview Questions” posted here before your senior meeting if a recommendation is required.
  • Let your counselor know about any deadlines you are trying to meet.
  • See your counselor with any questions you may have about completing your application.
