What Are We About?

West Ottawa Music Boosters is a non-profit organization that works to promote the Music Department and enhance the music education of West Ottawa students. It touches the lives of more than 1,750 middle and high school students who are involved in a variety of band, orchestra, and choir classes.

In recent years, many of these groups have distinguished themselves by winning awards and top ratings at local, regional and state music festivals.

If you have a child or know a child in any of West Ottawa’s 38 band, orchestra or choir classes and ensembles or are just interested in supporting the music program, then congratulations, You are a Music Booster. Donating Instruments

As part of our mission to strengthen the music program at West Ottawa, the Music Boosters are currently accepting instrument donations from the community.

Every year, we have dozens of students who are unable to afford an instrument. Your donation will make it possible for these children to play in an orchestra or band. Alumni who donate their instruments can know that they are continuing to have a positive impact on the success of the music program at West Ottawa.

How it works

Instrument donation is simple. Click here to send us an email; be sure to tell us what instrument you have. We will forward your message on to the music staff, who will get in contact with you to arrange a time to evaluate and drop off the instrument.

What kind of condition does my instrument have to be in? We request that any donated instruments be in good working order and free of any major dents, dings, or scratches that could detract from the usefulness of the instrument.
