Welcome to Harbor Lights Middle School!

Students in middle school have unique academic, social, and emotional needs. It is our mission to empower students to achieve academic success as well as grow socially and emotionally in a safe environment. We are dedicated to easing the transition from elementary to middle school, and to preparing our students to be successful in high school and beyond. Ultimately, we are devoted to guiding our students on their journey to become “College, Career, and Life Ready.”

At Harbor Lights we offer academic programs that are designed to challenge our students. All students can earn high school credits beginning in sixth grade by taking a World Language (Spanish, French and German). In addition, we offer Advanced Courses in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts (ELA). Harbor Lights Middle School is one of the few in the state in which a student can enter the high school having had the opportunity to earn seven high school credits!

We also offer programs that are designed to support our students academically. There are extended opportunities for students who are struggling in Math and ELA, as well as support services for both English Language Learners and students with Learning Disabilities.

Respect, Responsibility, and Quality Effort are the expectations that drive our school culture. We believe that building positive relationships motivates students and staff to live up to these expectations. Our commitment to building positive relationships helps provide a safe environment where students are able to grow socially and emotionally.
